The three characteristics of a good shoe lace
Maybe you don’t look too closely at your shoelaces. But they are very important, whether it is a nice Oxford dress or sports. And to be perfect, they must meet three very important characteristics.
1) Adapt to the type of shoe. A thin braided cotton lace for a dress shoe is not the same as a wide one for sneakers. And a shoelace for children’s shoes cannot be the same either. In this case the laces should be elastic so that the little ones can put on and take off the shoes without having to untie the laces. In this way they will not depend on adults to put on and take off their shoes and they will already learn how to tie their shoes when they are old enough.
Of course, they also have to adapt in style. Some laces will be thinner, others wider, and color also matters as it will determine the style.
2) They must be resistant. Poor quality laces will fray quickly and may even end up breaking if they get wet multiple times because they rot. This type of poor quality laces are not worth it because they can break at the worst time, making the shoe not hold on the foot and causing it to have a hard time. In addition, they will give the shoes an aged look even if they are new.
The quality laces not only withstand the passage of time without breaking, but their appearance remains beautiful and maintains the color. In this way, the image of the shoes will always be good and attractive.
3) They must be of adequate length. Too short laces are uncomfortable because they cannot be tied easily. But if they are very long, they will also be impractical since even tied can end up bothering.
That is why you have to make laces of many different measures so that they can adapt to all shoes, sneakers, boots and booties and their different sizes. Thus, you will find the right one to be used in all buttonholes and to be able to knot correctly, with a loop of the desired size.
There are several sizes when you have to buy a replacement for the laces that came with the shoe, it can be done without difficulty. And it is that cutting some laces is not an option, since the protection is removed and they end up falling apart in the area of the cut.
